Kahlo Smith is a recent graduate of UC Santa Barbara, where she conducted research on churches of occult sex magic and interviewed cryptid museum curators. Her work is forthcoming from Penumbra and Progenitor. She lives in Isla Vista, California, with her Venus flytrap Hydra. Kahlo has worked as a waitress in a sushi restaurant, a jam salesperson, and a children's carousel operator.
