Jessalyn Smith

Jessalyn Smith grew up in Sparta, North Carolina. Her home in the Appalachians has informed passions for folk guitar, sketching, ceramics, and cooking. Jessalyn has worked nearly every position in restaurants from absinthe bars to country clubs, but remembers her back-of-house days at her hometown restaurant most fondly. She currently lives in Brooklyn, but has her sights set on adventures all around the states. Her poetry and songwriting push diary-style notes and observations into the whimsical realm. Her piece “BAD SHOES BAD MOOD” (Poetry) is featured in Issue 9 of 86 Logic.
