Fred Shaw

Fred Shaw is a 30-year veteran of the service industry. His collection, Scraping Away (CavanKerry Press), considers the cost (in something more than dollars) of what it takes to feed a starving public that often finds those in the service industry to be faceless and replaceable. His poem, "Argot," was featured in the full-length documentary, Eating & Working & Eating & Working. He lives in Pittsburgh with his wife and rescued hound dogs.
